Domenico Bertoloni Meli teaches the history and philosophy of science and medicine at Indiana University, Bloomington. His main areas of interest are the history of mechanics and the history of anatomy from the Renaissance to the early 19th century. He has received many fellowships and awards, including a Membership at the Institute for Advanced Study, Princeton, and a Guggenheim Fellowship.
